The decision has been made to close New Forest Restaurant for the next 2 weeks.
New Forest Golf Club will remain open and operate under government advice until further notice.
Competition COVID-19 Precautions.
For the moment we are happy to say that club competitions are being run as planned but considering the HSEs advice for Social Distancing management have put in place a number of restrictions.
The Competitions computer will not be in use. Members playing in the competition DO NOT need to sign in. When you arrive at the club please inform Stephen that you intend to enter the competition and give your GUI/ILGU Number.
When paying for your entry or paying for shop items, such as drinks, bars etc we would encourage you to do so by means of contactless cards.
Please fill in your own card during the round. At the end of the round when signing the card please set your card on a table for your playing partner to review and sign. If you are reviewing a card, please minimise any contact with the card.
Once the card has been verified please take a photo of the card and email it to member@newforest.ie or send a picture of the card via Whats App to 0858417390. The committee will enter your scores into the system remotely.
While on the course we are asking all members to practise Social Distancing as much as possible, this would include but not limited to;
1. Leaving the flag in at all times.
2. Keeping at least 1 metre distance between you and other golfers, especially on Tees and Greens.
3. No handshakes
4. No sharing of equipment (pencils, tees, markers etc)
5. Do not swap cards
6. PLEASE WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE AND AFTER THE ROUND.

There will now be an Open singles Stableford Competition for anyone who wishes to play. Casual rounds are also permitted anytime during the day.
